History and myths of Nepal’s Pashupatinath temple

Two Pashupatinath Temple in the world is famous for one Kathmandu of Nepal and another from Mandsaur of India. The idols in both temples are of equal shape. The temple of Nepal is located in Kathmandu along the river Bagmati and it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. This temple is magnificent and here tourists from India and abroad come here.
Pashupati means:

Animal means animal or husband and husband means the lord or god means owner or god. This means that the animal or god of all the living beings of the world is Pashupatinath. In other sense Pashupatinath means the owner of life.
History of the temple:

It is believed that this gender was established even before the Vedas were written. Pashupati is the deity god of ancient rulers of Kathmandu valley. There is no authentic history of the construction of this temple of the Pashupati community, but in some places, it is mentioned that the temple was constructed by the animal husband of Somdev Dynasty in the third century BC.
In 605 AD, Amshuvarman considered himself to be blessed by touching the feet of God. Later this temple was rebuilt in the 11th century. Due to termite, the temple was badly damaged, due to which it was rebuilt in the 17th century. Later many copies of the temple were constructed till the Middle Ages. Such temples include Bhaktapur (1480), Lalitpur (1566) and Banaras (early 19th century). The original temple is destroyed many times. This present form was given by King Bhupendra Malla in 1697.
In the devastating earthquake in April 2015, some of the outer buildings of the World Heritage Site of Pashupatinath Temple were completely destroyed, while the main temple of Pashupatinath and the sanctum sanctorum of the temple did not suffer any harm.
Priest of the temple: To serve God in Pashupatinath temple, from 1747, the kings of Nepal invited Indian Brahmins only. Later, a king of ‘Mala Dynasty’ appointed South Indian Brahmin as the head priest of the temple. South Indian Bhatt Brahmin was appointed as head priest of this temple. Presently, the influence of worship of Nepalese people was handed over to the Nepalese people by abolishing the monopoly of Indian Brahmins during the reign of the Great Government.
